This Privacy Policy explains how Farmspayless ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Farmspayless mobile application and website (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and a password when you create an account.
- Delivery addresses: addresses you save for delivery, including map locations you pin.
- Order information: the products you order, your chosen warehouse, and your fulfilment preference (delivery or pickup).
- Profile photo: if you choose to upload one, using your device's camera or photo library.
Information collected automatically
- Device location: with your permission, we use your device's location to help you pin delivery addresses on the map. You can decline this permission and enter addresses manually.
- Usage and device data: basic technical information such as device type and app version, used to keep the Services reliable and secure.
2. Payment information
All payments are processed by Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. When you pay by card, your card details are entered directly into Paystack's secure checkout — we never see, collect, or store your card number. When you pay by bank transfer, Paystack generates a one-time virtual account for your order. We only receive confirmation of whether your payment succeeded, together with a payment reference.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account.
- To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders.
- To send transactional messages, such as order confirmations and delivery updates.
- To provide customer support and resolve issues.
- To keep the Services secure and prevent fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- Paystack, to process your payments (as described above).
- Service providers that help us operate the Services, such as cloud hosting, file storage, email delivery, and map services (e.g. Google Maps for the address picker). These providers may only use your information to provide services to us.
- Delivery personnel, who receive the name, phone number, and address needed to deliver your order.
- Authorities, where required by applicable law.
5. Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Order and payment records are retained as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see below).
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law — including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) — you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most of your details directly in the app. To exercise any other right, including deleting your account, contact us at support@farmspayless.com.
7. Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), token-based authentication, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data.
8. Children
The Services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. If the changes are significant, we will notify you in the app or by email.
